Obama has assured CIA operatives that they will not be prosecuted

President Obama has assured CIA operatives working in the US that they will not be prosecuted for their interrogation methods that were approved by the Bush administration.

These methods included: keeping prisoners naked and standing up, shackling, threats to families, sleep deprivation and slapping.

There are two sides to this argument. One you could claim it was inhumane or you could argue that perhaps these interrogation methods allowed us to obtain information that otherwise would not have been possible. You could also argue that by releasing this information into the public domain is in fact making the country less secure and sending the wrong message to other intelligence services around the world that cooperating with the USA about threats will not necessary remain secret.
